This is Active Mission Survival, a newsletter about how to survive today's world and the tools you need to get there…
I started this as a passion project, that turned into a podcast about whatever the hell I wanted to talk about at the moment, to a Substack, to whatever’s next. I have spent a lot of time learning, growing, and understanding how to use these platforms and the tools I need to get there. This has been one of the scariest, but most rewarding projects I’ve ever done. Seriously, I’ve learned a ton of information from this project that I want to continue to build it and get it to where I know it can be.
First things first, the podcast. I started the Active Mission Podcast on December 31, 2021. Wow…just couldn’t wait til New Year’s Day…regardless, I knew I always wanted to start a podcast, but I spent all of 2022 trying new things, experimenting a bit, and trying new things. Some of it worked, and some of it didn’t. For 2023, I am wanting to grow my podcast and brand further than I could have ever imagined, and if I fail by this time next year (March 20, 2024), then I’ll call it quits and just use this as a hobby. And what a hell of a hobby it is…
Second, I have been working on this website for months now, and I am really taking the time to work on the information architecture of it all. Because I know the value I want to provide is there, it takes time to reach a level of excellence that I know I can provide, regardless of how it started. It will include a hub for all things Active Mission Survival; including podcast episodes, blog posts (linked to Substack), exclusive content, coaching, merch, and much more. As I continue to build trust and value and grow my audience, I am hoping to get more people on board with what it is that I’m doing. Hopefully, you’ll join me on this journey.
And lastly, I want to get people encouraged about getting outside and connecting with nature and each other. I love a good challenge, and the pandemic really affected all of us in our daily and traditional routines. I know I might be a bit “late” but I still have a goal of educating and encouraging others to get outside and learn how to survive everyday life.
I’m learning and growing like everyone else, so if you would like to, you should join me on this adventure. It’s not too often you get to come along side people like us and learn how to live fully and on purpose.
